Chief Executive Officer, Bamboo Technology Park Ltd.

BACKGROUND

Bamboo Technology Park Ltd. is a company promoted by AIDC and a few private enterprises. It is setting up a Bamboo cluster project near Chaygaon, Kamrup, Assam at an investment of Rupees 62 crore, which is mainly funded by Government of India. The primary object of the project is to provide infrastructure facilities to bamboo entrepreneurs against payment of user charge. An area of 60 bigha has already been developed with road, drainage, electricity and water amenities, part of which will be leased out to entrepreneurs to set up their bamboo based factories. A modern Common Facility Centre has become operational that has modern equipment for producing many innovative bamboo products. An R&D facility and Design Centre is planned. There is a Marketing Centre with exhibition space and training infrastructure

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Overall executive head of the company reporting to the Board of Directors
2. Overall in charge of an already created asset base of Rs. 60 crore
3. Responsible for:

A. Formulation and implementation of strategy to utilize the Park facilities

B. achieving break even operations within a time frame of 6 months

C. Develop and implement an HR policy for about 200 employees

D. Develop a bamboo supply chain to the project

E. Interaction with Government at a high level on regular basis to take up issues faced by bamboo entrepreneurs

PROFILE

1. Must be entrepreneurial with innovative ideas
2. Minimum experience of 10 years. Proven experience of managing a company/division/region as a profit centre will be preferred for minimum 3 years is desirable.
3. Engineering graduate with post graduate management degree. However, it is not mandatory.
4. Business development, marketing, supply chain management, medium/large manufacturing operations are some of the preferred functional areas
5. Background in Building Material/Bamboo/ Wood / Furniture/ Flooring industry will be a plus
6. Familiarity with Government or large corporate rules and procedures is required
7. Must be tech savvy with good communication skills
8. Commitment to economic development of the state of Assam.

REMUNERATION

1. Rupees 18 lakh per annum. However, this is negotiable and will not be a constraint for the right candidate
2. Car with driver, fuel and maintenance
3. Free furnished accommodation at project site.
